about

This is a backing track for for Jonathan Coulton's song "Nemeses," using tab created by Suuuupaadave, and based on the live video version. I used two takes panned left and right. There are a few cuts between takes. The rhythm isn't quite perfect against a 150 bpm click track, but it seems pretty good to me.

Technical details: I'm playing the guitar in the picture, an Ovation 1778T "Tribal Flame" top, run into a Radial JDV direct box, then an Apogee Ensemble, into Logic at 24/96, with my usual Izotope Alloy and Ozone.

The tab I'm using is here: www.jonathancoulton.com/wiki/Nemeses/Tabs

Oops, it turns out I screwed up slightly. I left out a repeat of the picked phrase that comes between the bridge and the third verse. If I re-record this (and I probably will since I've improved with a bit more practice) I'll make sure that gets in there.
