about

Around 2001 I was learning to play Chapman Stick, and my day job involved writing driver software for an audio interface called the Aardvark Direct Pro Q10. I brought my Stick to work one day, plugged it in, and improvised this little multi-track noise by laying a couple tracks on the fly. A few months later I had to sell the Stick, but I'd still love to play Stick again someday. I called this track "Starting from Silence" because when I hit "record," I had no real idea what I was going to do. (And it shows!)

Unfortunately, I had only the 160Kbps MP3 file, so I've had to decode it and re-encode it; the audio quality has suffered slightly.
